TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, speaking at the Contributors to Akhisar Award Ceremony held by the Akhisar Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TSO), reminded that there are those who question the work done by chambers and exchanges and said, “Our chambers have, in just the last term, lifted a burden of 6 billion TL off of the private sector with their work.”​ ​

Growth in 2012 may be below expectation but 2013 will be better

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, stating in his 2012 review, “Growth in 2012 may be below expectations (OVP),” while saying that they expect 2013 to be a better year than 2012 in regards to growth, exports and inflation.​ ​

The 6th Turkey Sectoral Economic Summit was hosted by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu at the TOBB Twin Towers, presided over by the Prime Minister Deputy Ali Babacan and the attendances of the Customs and Commerce Minister Hayati Yazıcı, Science, Industry and Technology Minister Nihat Ergün, TOBB Board Members, TOBB Turkey Sector Council presidents, vice presidents, members and the high level representatives of government institutions and establishments.​ ​

The Bandırma Seaport’s star will shine with BALO

Speaking at the joint meeting held by the Bandırma Chamber of Commerce and the Trade Exchange, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu reported that the importance of the Bandırma Seaport will increase greatly with the Great Anatolia Logistics Organizations (BALO) project. Hisarcıklıoğlu emphasized that the goods from all over Anatolia will come together to be transported to the West in Bandırma.​ ​

Hisarcıklıoğlu praises branding efforts in Susurluk

Speaking at the meeting held by the Susurluk Chamber of Commerce and the Susurluk Commodity Exchange, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu praised the city for their application to get the geographical brand for the Susurluk Toast and emphasized the importance of branding. Hisarcıklıoğlu, “This is how trade marking begins. If you want to earn 10 times what you do now, trade mark your business, province and county.”​ ​
