Greek Ambassador Kyriakos Loukakis visited TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu.​

At the Middle East Trade Center meeting, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that peace is necessary for trade, that prosperity is only possible through trade.​

The report, " Pilot Climate Change Adaptation Study: Turkey" prepared by the European Bank for Research and Development (EBRD) and the International Finance Corporation (IFC) has been published. TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, in his assessment of the report, stated that practical information, suggestions and new trade opportunities will always keenly interest the Turkish private sector.​

World Bank Country Director for Turkey Martin Raiser visited TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu. Exchanging information regarding Turkey's current economic state, the importance of the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) for Turkey and Turkey's EU process were evaluated.​

The Australia - Turkey Business Council has been established. TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, stating that the current level of trade between the two countries does not reflect its full potential, expressed their desire to engender stronger economic relations with the Asia Pacific region.​

Speaking to Anatolian Agency and TRT Turk during the signing ceremony for the foundation of the Australian - Turkish Business Council by the Foreign Economic Relations Council (DEİK) and the Australian Industry Group (AIG), TOBB/DEİK President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that the Turkish business community is a latecomer in discovering Australia.​

In Australia for G20 meetings, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu met with the Australian B20 Leader Richard Goyder.​

Visiting the Gümüşhane Governor Yusuf Mayda, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu said, "Working is akin to devotion for our people. Moving forward is only possible by acting together."​

Speaking at the protocol signing ceremony of the Trabzon Innovation and Biotechnology Center, TOBB President Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu said, "The Innovation Center will be the facility which transforms the extraordinary intellect of the residents of the Black Sea Region into profit. Where wit is turned into profit. Trabzon has the wits for it. This will now be turned into investments."​

During his presentation, “A Look At Turkey’s Economy from Trabzon,” at the Hürriyet Newspaper Regional Meeting TOBB President Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that the flow of capital has slowed down to a trickle, and that money will not be plentiful in the world in the future.​
