“The goal is to market a product made in Turkey to every home in the World”
Foreign Economic Relations Council (DEİK) is restructuring itself. While the executive board is being dismantled, a Presidential Council comprised of five Vice Presidents and a treasurer will be formed. DEİK Vice Presidents will be Ayhan Zeytinoğlu, Erdal Eren, Şeraffetin Aşut, Tuncay Özilhan and Zeynel Abidin Erdem while Tuğrul Erkin has been elected as treasurer.

The 8th İstanbul Forum meeting held at TOBB
The 8th meeting for the İstanbul Forum, formed by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB), the Afghanistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) and the Federation of Pakistani Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI), which aims for economic cooperation between Turkey Afghanistan and Pakistan, was held at the TOBB Twin towers.

Hisarcıklıoğlu met with Turkmenistan President Berdimuhamedov
In Ashkhabad, Turkmenistan for the 5th Turkish Export Goods Fair, Economy Minister Nihat Zeybekçi, the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu and the Turkey Exporters Council (TİM) President Mehmet Büyükekşi were received by the Turkmenistan President Gurbanguli Berdimuhamedov.

For the 2023 goals, we must also commercialize new inventions as well as exports
Speaking at the TOBB Turkey Higher Education Council meeting, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that it would not be possible to reach the 2023 goals just with exports in only 10 years and that it was necessary to additionally commercialize new inventions in order to do this and that a great burden falls to TÜBİTAK in this regard.

ICC Turkey National Committee new board of directors elected
TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu has been reelected as the President of the Turkey National Committee of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), one of the largest business organizations in the world. Hisarcıklıoğlu, pointing out that the Turkish business community needs to focus on distant markets, said that they need new partners to achieve this.
