Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

The number of newly established companies, cooperatives and the number of sole proprietorships increased by 26,91% , 9,46% , 14,71% with respect to the previous month.​

As a part of the analysis efforts by TOBB to develop a new unified software for Commodity Exchanges, a new Commodity Exchange Software Workshop was held at the TOBB Twin Towers.​

The “Turkey-Kuwait Business Forum” was held in İstanbul in cooperation with the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) and the Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry to evaluate bilateral cooperation and investment opportunities between Turkey and Kuwait.​

As per the International Passenger and Goods Carriage Agreement signed between the Republic of Turkey and the People's Republic of China, the Technical Road Transportation Fair was held on 7th and 8th of September, 2017, in Beijing.​

The Turkish Packaging Council was held under the Council Chair Mustafa Tacir at the TOBB Twin Towers with the participation of high level representatives of the private sector and non-governmental organizations.​

Speaking at the opening of the Traffic Safety and Highway Passenger Transport Workshop organized at the TOBB Conference Hall, TOBB Board Member Bülent Karakus emphasized that Turkey's two main problems are armed terror and traffic terrorism. “Traffic accidents are not fate, but terrorism. We have lost about 50,000 people in the last 10 years.”​

TOBB Vice President Halim Mete held bilateral talks in Istanbul with Latvian Chamber of Commerce President Aigars Rostovskis and Council Chairman Janis Endzins.​

TOBB increased its support to the transport sector. TOBB, which previously reduced assurances of road carriers to the TIR system, also increased the TIR Carnets collateral limits to 100,000 Euros.​

TOBB Turkey Civil Aviation Council meeting was held at the TOBB Istanbul Service Building with the participation of Chairman of the Council Mr. Teoman Tosun and General Director of the State Airports Authority Funda Ocak.​

TOBB Board Member Treasurer Faik Yavuz attended the Turkey-Serbia Agriculture Work Fair held in Belgrade. The Forum, which took place with the participation of Turkish private sector representatives under the auspices of Ahmet Eşref Fakıbaba, Minister of Agriculture, Food and Livestock, brought together 200 participants from the business world of the two countries.​
