The Bandırma Seaport’s star will shine with BALO

Speaking at the joint meeting held by the Bandırma Chamber of Commerce and the Trade Exchange, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu reported that the importance of the Bandırma Seaport will increase greatly with the Great Anatolia Logistics Organizations (BALO) project. Hisarcıklıoğlu emphasized that the goods from all over Anatolia will come together to be transported to the West in Bandırma.​ ​

Hisarcıklıoğlu praises branding efforts in Susurluk

Speaking at the meeting held by the Susurluk Chamber of Commerce and the Susurluk Commodity Exchange, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu praised the city for their application to get the geographical brand for the Susurluk Toast and emphasized the importance of branding. Hisarcıklıoğlu, “This is how trade marking begins. If you want to earn 10 times what you do now, trade mark your business, province and county.”​ ​

We must protect entrepreneurs just like Messi and Ronaldo are protected

Speaking at the Balıkesir Chamber of Industry Award Ceremony, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “Just as FIFA requests that players of high technique, star players like Messi and Ronaldo be protected, so must we protect and nurture our entrepreneurs.” Stating that such players bring in spectators and so must be protected, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “We are the ones who enrich and develop this country as well as providing employment. The people who will provide jobs for our children are entrepreneurs. That is why we must protect and nurture; so we can become one of the top 10 economies of the world.”​ ​

Hisarcıklıoğlu requested from the EU that the membership process be sped up

Speaking at the Turkey-EU Joint Consultation Committee (KİK) meeting, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that Turkey joining the EU is as important as the formation of the EU and requested that the membership process be sped up. Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “Turkey gaining momentum in its reforms is connected to the revitalization of the EU membership negotiations.”​ ​

“Leman Çıdamlı and Kamil Sönmez are names which shall not be forgotten”

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, stating that the loss of the master theatre actor Leman Çıdamlı and the famous Turkish Folk Music singer Kamil Sönmez have deeply saddened Turkey and said, “Leman Çıdamlı had dedicated his life to the theatre and cinema; Kamil sönmez to Turkish Folk Music. We will always remember them with love and respect. Their names have been indelibly written in our hearts.”​ ​

TOBB President Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu visited the US Chamber of Commerce President Donohue as part of his Washington D.C. program. There are already many problems in the Middle East, tensions should not be raised with Iran

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, touching on the petroleum and gas trade with Iran, stated that if the payments made to this country in gold were to be subject to sanctions, Turkey will become more dependent on Russia for oil and gas.​ ​
