Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu received TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu and TOBB Board of Directors.​

Dr. Ian O. Lesser Senior Director for Foreign and Security Policy at German Marshall Fund (GMF) visited TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu at his offices.​

A reception was held in honor of Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) and B20 Turkey.​

B20 Turkey and TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, during an interview with Bloomberg TV in Davos, stated that problems on a global scale can only be solved through global initiatives. Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “This is not a decision to be made by economists or central banks - quite the contrary, it is a mechanism which must be decided by political and economist parties together.”​

Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that, as the Turkish business community, they’ve always complained about high interest rates, stressing the need to lower the interest rates of all small, medium and large businesses in Turkey.​

Attending the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum in Davos, B20 Turkey and TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu gave an interview to CNBC-e. Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that in an increasingly smaller world, everyone is effected by the decisions developed, going on to stress the possibility of a slowdown in global trade.​

B20 Turkey and TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that countries are moving to implement austerity measures while at the same time, regional cooperation is on the rise.​

Representatives of the international business community convened at the G20 Agenda Development meeting hosted by B20 Turkey presided by TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu. Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that new ideas would contribute to the development of G20’s agenda.​

Attending the TOBB Chambers of Maritime Trade Council Meeting, Minister for Transportation, Maritime Affairs and Communication Lütfi Elvan brought two pieces of good news for the sector. Coasters at the end of their economic life cycle will be pulled from service for scrap with incentives; additionally the assurance problem in ship construction will be addressed by extending the Credit Guarantee Fund to it.​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu attended the introductory reception for the Ankara Branch Office of the Van Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TSO). Congratulating the Van TSO for this, their visionary labor, Hisarcıklıoğlu emphasized that Van, with its rich history and culture, is one of the most important cities of Turkey.​
