​Counterfeiting and piracy threatening the development speed, our civilians’ health and the government’s taxes

​ The “Fakes Cost More, I Buy Real” campaign, run by International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) in 20 countries to combat counterfeiting and piracy, has started off in Turkey. ​

​Buying illegal goods is being accessory to crime

​ TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “Illegal goods deceive the consumer. Illegal goods present a serious health hazard. Illegal goods threaten the security of your private information. Buying illegal goods is being accessory to crime. The trading of illegal goods is unfair to the honest investor. Illegal goods increase unemployment.” ​

Hisarcıklıoğlu reelected as Vice President to the ICCIA

​ TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu has been reelected to the office of Board Vice President and a member of the Board of Directors of the Islamic Chamber of Commerce, Industry & Agriculture (ICCIA). Hisarcıklıoğlu is quite remarkable as the only person to hold office in both Eurochambres, Europe’s highest level representation of chambers, and ICCIA, the umbrella organization of the chambers of 57 Islamic countries. ​

Memorial forest for Hisarcıklıoğlu from the residents of Elazığ

​ A memorial forest is being planted in Elazığ for TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu. As a part of the “One Becomes a Thousand and One” project, 1001 pine saplings will be planted by the Elazığ Commerce Exchange in a plot next to the Livestock Products Organized Industry Zone. ​

​Counterfeiting and piracy are risking Turkey’s development speed and our health

​ In his speech at the 7th Global Congress on Combating Counterfeiting and Piracy, of which TOBB is a private sector partner of, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that what is at stake in regards to counterfeiting and piracy is Turkey’s economy’s development speed, the health of its citizens and the tax income of the government. ​

​ Attending the Contributors to the Economy and Tax Record Holders award ceremony in Artvin, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “We don’t have petroleum or natural gas but we do have an extraordinary enterprising spirit; that is what we have discovered.” ​

​Children are the guarantee of sovereignty and brighter futures

​ Releasing a message regarding the April 23rd National Sovereignty and Children’s Day, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu said that lovingly raised children who believe in solidarity are the guarantee of sovereignty and brighter futures. ​

​Ankara Young Entrepreneurs visited Hisarcıklıoğlu

​ TOBB Ankara Young Entrepreneurs Council Delegation, lead by Executive Board President Göksel Ayrancıgil, visited TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu. Hisarcıklıoğlu requested that the young entrepreneurs who briefed him on the projects they have planned raise awareness to their activities and provide role models for the youth. ​

​ TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu and the Prime Minister Deputy Ali Babacan, along with representatives of TÜSİAD, MÜSİAD, TUSKON and TÜMSAD, met with the CEO of NASDAQ, Robert Greifeld. ​
