Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

The protocol for the construction of a kindergarten, primary school, middle school and science high school has been signed between TOBB and the Abdullah Gül University (AGU) Support Foundation in the presence of the President of the Republic of Turkey, Abdullah Gül.​

As a part of their USA meetings for Turkey Investment Week, TOBB President Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu and Prime Minister Deputy Ali Babacan attended the opening of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME). The CME started the day off with an increase.​

TOBB President Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu attended a round table meeting organized by the Seattle World Business Council as a part of his USA business tour.​

As part of the Turkey Investment Week activities in the USA, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, Prime Minister Deputy Ali Babacan and a delegation of businessmen visited the tech giants of the Silicon Valley in San Francisco.​

In the US for the “Turkey Investment Week”, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, Prime Minister Deputy Ali Babacan and the delegation accompanying them attended the dinner held by the Los Angeles World Business Council. ​

Speaking at the reception held by the International Lease Finance Corporation (ILFC) for TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, Prime Ministry Deputy Ali Babacan and TOBB members in conjunction with the Turkey Investment Week, Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that they are representing 1.5 million Turkish companies in the USA.​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu took questions from Business School students at the UCLA along with Prime Minister Deputy Ali Babacan.​

The President of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB), M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, has been reelected as the Vice President of EUROCHAMBRES by unanimous vote at the Haliç Congress Center during EUROCHAMBRES’ General Assembly while the German Chamber of Commerce Chairman Richard Weber was elected as the new president.​

The President of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) and the Vice President of EUROCHAMBRES, Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “Success in Turkey’s membership talks with the EU will benefit all of Europe. Past experiences have shown that expansion is a win-win situation for all involved.”​

According to the 2014 Global Economic Report prepared by the European Association of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (EUROCHAMBRES) and the Global Chamber Platform (GCP), GCP members are of the opinion that growth for 2014 will not be as high as projected by the World Bank.​
