Hisarcıklıoğlu receives commemorative plaque from Turk Society celebrating their centennial
The Turk Society (Türk Ocakları) presented TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu with a centennial anniversary commemorative plaque during the ceremony celebrating the 100th year of their founding. During the ceremony which took place in the Gazi University Campus Gazi Cultural Center, Hisarcıklıoğlu received the plaque from the President of the Republic, Abdullah Gül.
In addition to Hisarcıklıoğlu, President Abdullah Gül, Ceceli Group owner Alaettin Ceceli and Gür-İş Group founder İdris Yamantürk also received commemorative plaques.

Youth speak out for the new constitution in Samsun
Speaking at the Constitution Citizens’ Meeting held in Samsun, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that they view the constitution as the essential part of the system and the foundation of the structure and that the part with the most say in the future of the country is the youth.

Hisarcıklıoğlu to businessmen, “You must review the new TTK”
Speaking at the meeting in Rize, where the new Turkish Trade Law (TTK) was introduced to companies, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that the new law is revolutionary and issued a call to all employers, “The methods and rules of trade are being rewritten. So get to know the new law and learn it.”

Modernization of border Gates benefits everyone
Visiting the Sarp Border Gate, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that they expect 5 million people to pass through the Sarp Border Gate this year and that the number of TIR entries increased by 28% to 233,000 last year.

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu congratulated the Fenerbahçe Universal Women’s Volleyball team who beat France’s RC Cannes team in the Confédération Européenne de Volleyball (CEV) Women’s Europeaan Championship Finals, becoming the new champions.

Hisarcıklıoğlu urges Switzerland to lift visas
Switzerland Federal Economy, Technology, Agriculture and Professional Training Minister Johann N. Schneider-Ammann and the Swiss businessmen accompanying him were hosted at a work-dinner at the TOBB Union Center by TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu. Hisarcıklıoğlu pointed out that the foremost obstruction to trade is visas and reported that the Turkish business community is awaiting a solution to this matter.
