Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

Visiting Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Berat Albayrak at his office, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu extended him his well wishes.​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu took over the role of Turkey – EU Joint Arbitration Committee (JAC) Co-Chair from TESK Chair Bendevi Palandöken.​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu visited Van PM, National Education, Culture, Youth and Sports Commission Chair Beşir Atalay, Ankara PM, Security and Intelligence Commission Chair Emrullah İşler, Diyarbakır PM, Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Affairs Commission Member Ebubekir Bal, Konya PM, Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Affairs Commission Member Muhammet Uğur Kaleli, Gaziantep PM, Planning and Budget Commission Member Nejat Koçer, Kahramanmaraş PM, Internal Affairs Commission Chair Celalettin Güvenç and Gümüşhane PM, Environment Commission Chair Cihan Pektaş and extended his well wishes in their new assignments.​

The International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Turkey National Committee Board of Directors convened with M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu presiding over the meeting. Stating that international mechanisms like the ICC determine the rules of trade in the world, Hisarcıklıoğlu pointed out that it is impossible for any one country to bring about change in international rules and emphasized the importance of the ability to lobby within international organizations.​

Assessing the fact that, in three months, the Agreement for the Facilitation of Trade, the WTO’s first comprehensive trade reform according to the 2016 Action Plan, will be presented to the Great National Assembly of the Republic of Turkey (TBMM), TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “The agreement which will enter into effect once it has been ratified by two thirds of WTO members can be considered a milestone in stopping the declining trade figures.”​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu met with the attendees of the Council Member Briefing Seminar held on 11th, 12th and 13th of December at TOBB ETU.​

Attending the business lunch hosted by TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu,Science, Industry and Technology Minister Fikri Işık toured the TOBB ETU Garage and Technology Center.​

Received by Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu and the TOBB Board of Directors delegation accompanying him extended their well wishes for Davutoğlu in his new term. In a statement following the reception, Hisarcıklıoğlu said that they find the one year Action Plan proposed by the government to be very beneficial, “The business community and investors always want to be able to look ahead. This is what the Action Plan provides us. We thank the government for this.”​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu and the TOBB Board of Directors accompanying him visited Transportation, Maritime Affairs and Communication Minister Binali Yıldırım at his office and wished him success in regards to his appointment as minister.​
