Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

The 19th seminar for TOBB affiliated chambers’ and exchanges’ council members was held. Meeting with council members, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that the informing of council members who are opinion leaders of their regions is of the utmost importance for them and that they want council members to work in unity and solidarity to enrich their cities.​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that Newroz, the symbolic reawakening of nature with the coming of spring, is a celebration of peace and friendship; bringing tranquility and joy, renewing and strengthening hope.​

Convening with over 100 business people from 60 countries in Singapore, B20 Turkey Chair and TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu assessed the results of the survey they’ve held with the representatives of the global business community. Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that the priority item on the business community’s agenda at the moment was “Signing of the Bali Agreement and Removal of Borders for Commerce.”​

In his press release regarding the March 18th Martyrs’ Remembrance Day and the 100th Anniversary of the Çanakkale Naval Victory, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “The spirit of Çanakkale is the promise that the great nation living in this land has made to history that it will live united and independent forever. This victory is the best example of national unity and solidarity.”​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, during his speech at the seminar for chamber and exchange council members, said, “In order to live in peace and happiness, we must all share in prosperity. Our goal is to raise per capita income to 25,000 USD.”​

In his press release regarding the March 14th Doctor’s Day, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “Humanity is beholden to the medical community who shoulder this hallowed profession, a burden heavier than death, in order to save lives.”​

Customs and Tourism Enterprises (GTİ) Co. Inc. held its 2014 Annual General Assembly with the attendance of M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu in Ankara.​

TOBB Council of Maritime Commerce Chambers Member, businessman and former Fenerbahçe administrator, Şadan Kalkavan has passed away. TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that Kalkavan’s passing is a great loss for both the business and the sports community, “We have lost an important elder who left behind important services rendered.”​

Elazığ Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chair İdris Alan and the Board Members accompanying him visited TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu at his office.​
