Hisarcıklıoğlu, visiting the French Ambassador, “Economic relations may suffer”

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu visited the French Ambassador to Turkey, Laurent Bili. Relaying his reservations on the bill, stating that, “The denial of a genocide recognized by French law is punishable by law with a prison sentence of one year and a 45,000 Euro fine,” which is on the French parliament’s agenda, Hisarcıklıoğlu warned that Turkey-France economic relations may suffer as a result.​ ​

Congratulatory visit to Türk-İş President Kumlu

Making an announcement on behalf of the civil society organizations visiting Türk-İş President Mustafa Kumlu on his reelection to presidency, TOBB President M. Islam countries visit TOBB to share their commodity exchange experiences

Speaking at the Seminar on Experiences in Establishing Effective Commodity Exchanges in Islamic Development Bank Member Countries, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that the most crucial issue of the century is hunger and went on, “If we do not find employment for our brothers struggling with famine we won’t be able to live in our own homes in peace.”​ ​

Speaking at the 10th Industry Congress held by the Istanbul Chamber of Industry (İSO), TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that Turkey has passed a period of trust building in the last 10 years, saying, “The old ‘Can I do it?’ doubts are turning into ‘I can do it best.’ certainties.” Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that Turkey has proven the dynamism and resilience of its economy during the crisis, “While developed countries shook, we took the wind to our backs and moved full speed ahead.”​ ​

Hisarcıklıoğlu thanks President Basescu for urging the use of Turkish products

Speaking at the Turkish-Romanian Business Forum, TOBB and DEİK President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu thanked the Romanian President Traian Basescu for urging the use of Turkish products. Hisarcıklıoğlu emphasized that important commercial steps could be taken in concert with Romania in the fields of logistics, energy and finance.​ ​

Where before, farming was only for subsistence, it has now become very profitable

Attending the Nizip Chamber of Commerce Mosaic Stones of the Economy Tax Awards Ceremony, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu related how farming used to be done was only for subsistence, “There’s big money in agriculture. Farming is done to prosper today. First, we need run inventory in agriculture. Nobody is quite sure how much Turkey produces of any crop. The fact that we don’t know how much we plant or what we plant cannot go on anymore.”​ ​
