16.02.2016 / Dinar / Afyonkarahisar

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, during his speech at the Stars of Dinar award ceremony held by the Dinar Chamber of Commerce and Industry, stated that if we want better service then we must not fail to properly appreciate and applaud work well done.

Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that he is immensely proud of the Turkish business community. Emphasizing that there is great opportunity for Turkey to enter the top 10 economies of the world, moving up from the top 20, Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that they’ve begun a period of training for all chambers in order to increase standards, “If we want better service then we must not fail to properly appreciate and applaud work well done.”

- “Entrepreneurship is the first step towards prosperity”

Stating that entrepreneurship is the first step towards prosperity, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “Dinar is a center for enterprise. If we want to prosper, if we want Afyonkarahisar and Turkey to prosper, there is but one solution. This is through entrepreneurship. Each year, 900,000 people join the workforce. It is impossible for the government to provide all of them with jobs. I urge parents to raise their children as entrepreneurs. Those parents who are traders, bring up your children as traders. That is when Turkey will grow. That is how we will eliminate unemployment.”

Pointing out that Dinar TSO has become 5-starred, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “Paris, London and Berlin chambers of commerce and industry are among the 5-starred chambers of the world. Your competitors are in Paris, London and Berlin. Dinar TSO provides service on par with those institutions. We must provide the best service.”

Emphasizing that what makes Dinar Dinar is its entrepreneurial spirit, Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that successful provinces are backed by unity and solidarity.

Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that Dinar is rich in resources, more fortunate in this regard than many other parts of Turkey.

The TOBB President stated that the Soviets, despite their military and technological might, were unable to progress after 1990 for the lack of entrepreneurs; that an empire had fallen because of its lack of private sector.

Putting emphasis on the fact that any investment made into education will result in loss, Hisarcıklıoğlu reported that TOBB is building schools in 81 provinces and one that project is complete, it will move on to building schools in 161 counties.

Expressing optimism regarding Turkey’s future, Hisarcıklıoğlu reported that they’ve reached annual exports figures of 160 billion USD from only 3 billion USD, becoming the largest industrial country between Italy and China.
