A helping hand from TOBB for Africa’s struggle against hunger
TOBB has started an aid campaign to address the hunger disaster in Africa by donating one million TL. TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu pointed out the scale of the disaster and said, “I call out to the whole Turkish business world and look forward to their support.”

TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu in Somalia
The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, along with TOBB Board Vice President Murat Yalçıntaş, attended the Prime Minister Erdoğan’s visit to Somalia which is struggling with famine. Traveling to Somalia with the Prime Minister Erdoğan and a sizable retinue, Hisarcıklıoğlu assessed the disaster on site.

Hisarcıklıoğlu presented the check for 9.537 million TL to Prime Minister Erdoğan
Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan hosted the TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu and the TOBB Board of Directors in his office. During the meeting, also attended by the Director of Religious Affairs Mehmet Görmez and the Customs and Commerce Minister Hayati Yazıcı, the TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu presented the check for 9.537 million Turkish Liras, donated by TOBB members for the Somalia Aid Campaign to Prime Minister Erdoğan and the Director of Religious Affairs Mehmet Görmez.

Full support for the new constitution process from TOBB
The TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu reported to the Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan that the Turkish business world is in almost full accord in supporting the implementation of a new constitution and that as TOBB, they are ready to provide every assistance required.

New fair grounds will crown İzmir’s world brand property
The 80th İzmir International Fair started off with a ceremony at the Kültürpark Outdoor Theatre. Making a speech at the ceremony, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu said that İzmir is a city which has made its name beyond Turkey with its history, culture, geography, human and production power and it was made even more evident during the EXPO 2015 process.
