Income justice is collateral for peace, development and stability

Speaking at the 27th İSEDAK Meeting held at the Istanbul Congress Center, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, speaking about the importance of income justice, said “While our neighbor right next to us is struggling with famine, while children in Somalia are dying from hunger, we cannot live in peace in our palace of glass.”​ ​

Stating that after the attacks of the terrorist organization in Bitlis, then Çukurca, the pain of the martyred policemen and soldiers as well as the citizens who have lost their lives is deeply felt, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu said that the people who thought they could achieve their goals by shedding blood would pay for this.​ ​

Speaking at the press conference for the World Turk Entrepreneurs Council which will take place on 18-19 October 2011 in the Lütfi Kırdar Congress and Exhibition Palace in Istanbul, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that Turks of local heart, national conscience, global mind and future vision will meet at the World Turk Entrepreneurs Council.​ ​

The food problem is the most crucial problem of the century

Speaking at the meeting held for the UN World Food Day in Istanbul, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that the food problem is the most crucial problem of the century and said, “This matter is like nothing else. This is famine. We cannot breathe easily until this problem is solved. We will not sleep easy when our neighbor goes hungry.”​ ​

The President of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) M. The progress report does not bring new vision to Turkey – EU relations

Reviewing the Turkey Progress Report and Strategy Document published by the European Commission, TOBB President Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that the progress report and strategy document does not harbor a vision which would change the present course of Turkey’s accession to the European Union, one that would hasten the accession process.​ ​
