During his contacts in Van, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated at the Post-Earthquake Assessment Meeting, that they mobilized together with 78 civil society organizations after the earthquake in order to bring immediate support to Van and that great changes have taken place since the earthquake.​ ​

Newly appointed Ambassador to Azerbaijan Coşkun’s visit to TOBB

Alper Coşkun, appointed as Turkey’s Ambassador to Azerbaijan, who will assume his duties on August 15th, 2012 visited TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu. Hisarcıklıoğlu emphasized that they have always regarded Azerbaijan as a friend and brother country while Ambassador Coşkun stated that he would do his utmost to further good relations with Azerbaijan.​ ​

Major opportunities for bilateral trade affairs between Turkey and the USA

Speaking at the 8th meeting of the Turkey-USA Economic Partnership Commission (EOK), TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu pointed out the enormous potential and opportunity for bilateral trade affairs between Turkey and the USA and said, “In order to seize upon these opportunities we should implement education and awareness raising activities in the short term while we implement structural reforms for mid-to-long term. Opportunities of equal significance exist for bilateral investments as they do for trade.”​ ​

“Ending our 52 year longing for the Olympics, ‘the Sultans of the Net’ have made us all proud”

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu congratulated the Turkey (A) National Women’s Volleyball Team for beating Poland 3-0 in the European Continental Qualifiers and thereby earning the right to compete in the 2012 London Olympics. Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that the determined work our volleyball players have put in has brought them victory and has swelled the chest of the nation with pride. In his message, Hisarcıklıoğlu said:​ ​

The martyrs in Tunceli struck our hearts

In his message regarding our three soldiers who were martyred in Tunceli, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “Terrorism, the focus of violent acts, will be known as the author of crimes against humanity in the eyes of history. No reason is good enough to explain the spilled blood of our security forces.”​ ​
