Unless minimum wage costs are distributed there won’t be any investment
Attending the Trabzon 2015 Stars of the Economy Plaque Ceremony, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu reported that they have the highest rate of employment among OECD countries and stated that the burden of the minimum wage can’t be solely put on the shoulders of the private sector. Hisarcıklıoğlu, at the meeting attended by the Labor and Social Security Minister Süleyman Soylu, said, “We only want to be able to compete on equal footing with our global competitors. Don’t put the whole weight on us; let’s divide the burden half and half. Otherwise, there won’t be anyone to make investments next year.”
