Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Board of Directors Vice President Ayhan Zeytinoğlu stated that the mutual trade volume of Turkey and Qatar reached $3 billion, and added, “The Qatari capital investing in our country 10 years ago was $100 million, but now this figure has reached $2.5 billion. The value of the projects undertaken by Turkish companies in Qatar reached $17 billion.”​

The Turkish-US Defense and Aviation Workshop was hosted by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB).​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Vice President of the Board of Directors Tamer Kıran attended the 15th Anniversary Gala of AmCham Turkey (ABFT). ​

The TIR Committee, appointed by the TOBB Board of Directors for a period of two years, was convened in Istanbul under TOBB Vice President and TIR Committee Chairman Tamer Kıran. At the meeting, application acceptances of companies wishing to operate within the TIR System, demands of firms wishing to leave the system, firm requests who want to benefit from the guarantee discount and evaluations regarding the firms involved in irregularities for various reasons were discussed. In addition, current problems of the sector and solutions were discussed. ​

The Legislative Commission meeting was attended by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Vice President Selçuk Öztürk. The Legal Counsel informed the commission about the draft schematics and some amendments carried out in various regulations. ​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Vice President Selçuk Öztürk attended the 7th Annual Technology Development Zones and R&D Centers Award Ceremony held at ATO Congresium. ​

Turkey Food Industry Council convened under Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Board Member Özer Matlı and Council President Necdet Buzbas with the participation of council members.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Vice President Tamer Kıran attended the 2nd Istanbul International Ombudsman's Conference held at Dolmabahçe Palace with the participation of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. ​

The opening meeting of the 3rd Agriculture Summit was held on 18.11.2019 at the Ankara Congresium Cultural Center. Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Dr. Bekir Pakdemirli gave the opening speech of the opening ceremony attended by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Vice President Ali Kopuz and Board Treasurer Faik Yavuz representing TOBB.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Vice President Selçuk Öztürk attended the Investment Conference organized by the Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture in cooperation with the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry in Karachi on November 15th, 2019. A delegation consisting of Chamber and Commodity Exchange Presidents and businesspeople from Turkey attended the conference.​
