Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

TOBB Board Treasurer Faik Yavuz met with representatives of Burkina Faso Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Yavuz provided information about TOBB and the activities of TOBB and exchanged views on future cooperation. ​

Turkey Maritime Council, holding the first meeting new term presided over by TOBB Board Vice President Tamer Kiran, elected its Council President and Vice-President. In the vote, Recep Düzgit, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Association of Steamer Equipment and Agencies (VDA), was elected as the Council President, Mersin Free Zone Founder and Operator Co. Inc. (MESBAŞ) Chairman Ali Avcı was elected as Council Vice President. ​

A seminar was held for the officials of Mwasalat of Oman and Oman Global Logistics Group (ASYAD) which have become member of the TIR System by signing the TIR Convention, by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB), regarding the functioning and implementation of the TIR system.​

In Antalya for the Turkish-Arab Chamber (TAC) 3rd Board of Directors Meeting, TAC Co-President and President of the Union of Arab Chambers Mohammed Abdo Saeed and accompanying members of the board visited the Antalya Chamber of Commerce and Industry.​

Czech Republic Chamber of Commerce President Vladimir Dlouhy and a delegation of Czech Republic business people accompanying him visited TOBB Economics Technology University following the Turkey - Czech Republic business lunch held at the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB).​

Turkey Cement and Cement Products Elective Assembly meeting was chaired by Şaban Aziz Karamehmetoğlu, a member of the Board of Directors of the Union of Chambers and commodity exchanges of Turkey (TOBB).​

The number of newly established companies, the number of sole proprietorships and the number of cooperatives increased by 57,00% , 70,85% and 82,46% respectively according to the previous month. The number of closed companies, the number of closed cooperatives and the number of closed sole proprietorships increased by 56,07% , 141,03% and 86,54% respectively according to the previous month.​

Women Entrepreneurs Council members of Turkey Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges (TOBB) in Kırşehir shared their works with the press. TOBB Kırşehir Women Entrepreneurs Council Chairman Hatice Kangal mentioned that they have determined their own road maps, went to the villages and met with mukhtars. Kangal said "We will organize the mukhtars. We thought that the mukhtars were the right address for identifying those in need. Our problem is not only to sell what women produce, we want to ensure that women are also involved in social life. We want them to produce, sell and even have a coffee in the city with the money they earn". ​

“Entrepreneurs from Trabzon to Şanlıurfa Meet” event organized by TOBB Trabzon Women Entrepreneurs Council and TOBB Şanlıurfa Women Entrepreneurs Council with the support of Trabzon Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Şanlıurfa Chamber of Commerce and Industry EU Information Centers were held on 5-6 of August, 2019, at the Trabzon CCI. ​

The 11th Ambassadors Conference, Turkey Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges (TOBB) organized a working dinner. Deputy Foreign Minister Faruk Kaymakçı, TOBB Vice President Ayhan Zeytinoğlu and TOBB Board Member Ömer Zeydan and ambassadors attended the dinner.​
