Georgian economy offers investors opportunities

On the Georgian Finance Minister Baindurashvili’s invitation, The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu traveled to Tiflis yesterday and met with Georgian Finance Minister Kakha Baindurashvili and Georgian Minister of Economy Vera Kobalia.​ ​

The steps taken towards better days on May 19, 1919 will never stop

In his message for May 19 Atatürk Memorial, Youth and Sports Day, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu emphasized the importance of the first steps taken in Samsun on May 19, 1919 and the great importance they hold on the road that reaches out to freedom, sovereignty of the people and today’s strong Turkish Republic.

Hisarcıklıoğlu received “tax and export record holder” plaque from Erdoğan

Ankara Chamber of Commerce (ATO) 2009-2010 awarded its highest tax paying and exporting members with plaques at its Convention Center. Among those who received plaques from Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan were the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, ATO President Salih Bezci and Mustafa Koç on behalf of his father, Rahmi Koç.

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey’s (TOBB) 66th General Assembly took place in Ankara, TOBB Economy and Technology University (ETU) Hall. Giving the opening speech for the General Assembly, which was attended by the Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and CHP President Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu expressed the need for peace and dialog instead of fights and conflict; saying, “Together, we are strong.”

Foreign chambers attending the TOBB General Assembly met for diner

The Turkish-Iran Business Council Opposition Member, Pakistan Commerce and Industry Chambers Federation President and Vice-Presidents, Azerbaijan Commerce and Industry Deputy President, Kosovo Chamber of Commerce President, Kosovo Construction Associations President and Georgia Chamber of Commerce and Industry President were invited to attend TOBB’s 66th General Assembly and came together for dinner as guests of TOBB.​ ​

We must pave the way for young and woman entrepreneurs

Prior to TOBB’s 66th General Assembly, TOBB Young Entrepreneurs and Woman Entrepreneurs came together for dinner at Ankara Hilton Hotel. In his speech at the dinner attended by the Woman Entrepreneurs Board President Aynur Bektaş and Young Entrepreneurs Board President Ali Sabancı, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “We have sown a seed. We will make it grow. If we wish to prosper, we must pave the way for woman and young entrepreneurs.”

The service honor letters and plaques were awarded to the TOBB Executive Board delegates who have fulfilled 10, 20 and 51 years of service on Sunday, May 15, 2011 by President Abdullah Gül, Minister of Industry and Trade Nihat Ergün and TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu.
