LYS first place winner Çelik shared her success story with TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu

TOBB President and TOBB ETU Board of Trustees President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu met with Simav Anatolia Teacher High School graduate Tuğçe Gizem Çelik who achieved the highest points in TM-2 and TM-3 categories in the university exam (Degree Placement Exam – LYS) after having to study in a tent after the Simav earthquake.
The meeting which took place in TOBB Union Center on Thursday, July 28th 2011, was attended by Tuğçe Gizem Çelik’s parents, TOBB ETU Rector Prof. Dr. Yücel Altunbaşak, TOBB ETU Deputy Rector Prof. Dr. Ali Fuat Bilkan and Simav Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Şeref Kazcıoğlu.
Receiving a present from Hisarcıklıoğlu, Tuğçe Gizem Çelik thanked him and said, “Having received first hand information from President Hisarcıklıoğlu about TOBB ETU is fortuitous. I have not yet made my decision. I will keep in mind the information I’ve received when making my decision.”
Afterwards, Tuğçe Gizem Çelik visited the TOBB ETU Campus and learned about the campus opportunities and student housing.
