Speaking at the opening of the 7th International Work Health and Safety Conference, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu pointed out that they come from a tradition of employers embracing employees as family, saying, “We bleed inside if the smallest harm comes to them. That is why work safety is paramount for us.”​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, emphasizing that as a primary tenet of the business world, those who cannot manage their budgets cannot grow, stated that the same principle applies in regards to the country’s economy.​

Speaking at the TOBB Maritime Trade Chambers Council Meeting attended by the Transportation, Maritime Affairs and Communication Minister Lütfi Elvan, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “The maritime sector requires the same support as its global competitors.” Hisarcıklıoğlu, reminding that maritime goods and passenger transportation is a part of the “Prioritized Investment Subjects” of the new investment incentivisation package, and requested of Minister Elvan that ship building sector be included in the “Large Scale Investments” category.​

TOBB President, EUROCHAMBRES Vice President and ABC Board Member M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu attended the Association of Balkan Chambers (ABC) 1st General Assembly of 2014.​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu received the Sungurlu Municipality Director Abdülkadir Şahiner, Sungurlu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TSO) Chairman Alaittin Akel and the accompanying delegation. Hisarcıklıoğlu extended his wishes for the continued success of Şahiner and Akel.​

In Turkmenistan for the Horsemanship Day, President of the Republic of Turkey, Abdullah Gül met with the private sector lead by TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu.​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu visited the Kocasinan Municipality Director, Mustafa Çelik, to congratulate him on his election.​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu visited the Kayseri Grand Municipality Director Mehmet Özhaseki.​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, stating that the rules of trade are changing throughout the world, said, “If we can’t adapt to the developments, Turkey will not prosper.”​

As the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey, we celebrate the May 1st of all our laborer brothers. We hope that May 1st, the Labor and Solidarity Day, brings peace and hope to Turkey -not conflict. We want to work, produce and grow our country’s economy in peace with our 1.5 million members and 13.5 million employees.​
