The rescue of the 49 captives is a testament to Turkey’s power
The President of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated in regards to the return of the 49 hostages held by the Islamic State in Mosul said, “The liberation of the 49 individuals without harm or loss of life is a great success and had made us as the Turkish business community very happy.”

We support the local development mentality initiated by development agencies

Arbitration center to be established in Cyprus
The Nicosia Economic Forum was held in İstanbul with TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu hosting the meeting. Representatives of the business communities of Turkey, Greece, TRNC and the Greek Cypriot have decided to establish an arbitration center. TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu expressed that the establishment of an arbitration center would facilitate the resolution of problems which could arise in regards to business matters, thereby increasing bilateral trade.

Hisarcıklıoğlu attended the EUROCHAMBRES Joint Members Committee meeting
EUROCHAMBRES Joint Members Committee meeting was presided over by TOBB President and EUROCHAMBRES Vice President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu in İstanbul. Stating that the EU is preparing its institutions for the future, Hisarcıklıoğlu expressed that the new members joining the Union benefit both the Union and themselves.
