EU Minister and Chief Negotiator Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu met with ICC Chairman Harold McGraw and ICC Board Members during a business lunch hosted by ICC Board Member, ICC Turkey National Committee and TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu.​

The first 2014 Board Meeting of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) was held at the TOBB Union Center, hosted by TOBB and ICC Turkey President, ICC Board Member M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu. Speaking at the press conference held prior to the meeting, Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that the driving force behind global economy for the last 60 years has been international trade and said, “From here on out, global development will be sustained by trade.”​

Attending the Stars of Sakarya Awards Ceremony, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu visited the Sakarya Commodity Exchange and met with the council members.​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, during his speech at the Stars of Sakarya Awards Ceremony, stated that Sakarya is generating prosperity all around.​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated in his speech at the TÜGİK General Assembly attended by Treasury Minister Mehmet Şimşek that developed countries will come together in a single market in 2 years, “It is imperative that we be a part of this structure.”​

Speaking at the “The Future in Kayseri Awards Ceremony,” TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that Kayseri, which has only recently discovered that Mt. Erciyes is the gold laying goose, now aims for 4 million tourist visitors, discovering a new market of 4 billion USD.​

At the Middle East Trade Center meeting, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that peace is necessary for trade, that prosperity is only possible through trade.​

The report, " Pilot Climate Change Adaptation Study: Turkey" prepared by the European Bank for Research and Development (EBRD) and the International Finance Corporation (IFC) has been published. TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, in his assessment of the report, stated that practical information, suggestions and new trade opportunities will always keenly interest the Turkish private sector.​

World Bank Country Director for Turkey Martin Raiser visited TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu. Exchanging information regarding Turkey's current economic state, the importance of the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) for Turkey and Turkey's EU process were evaluated.​
