Adana’s economy must leap forward
The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu said that Adana, which has contributed significantly to the prosperity and industrialization of Turkey, needs to shirk off its lull and leap forward and that the duty for this falls to the Chambers and Exchanges of that city.

“We want to increase the per capita income to 2.5 times what it is now”
The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “TOBB was the first to announce Turkey’s goal to become one of the top 10 economies of the world. Now, we want to increase the per capita income to 2.5 times what it is now.”

Anatolia rises up; Turkey finds its real strength

The Turkish Olympics Student Delegation’s visit to TOBB
The Student Delegation of the 11th International Turkish Olympics visit TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu at his office. Stating that they are proud of all the Turkish schools abroad, Hisarcıklıoğlu pointed out the importance of education. Emphasizing that they heartily adopt a culture which states that the most beneficent of men is he who is beneficent to others, Hisarcıklıoğlu congratulated the guest students and their teachers.

NGOs urge prudence for “Gezi Park” protests
The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB), Turkish Workers’ Syndicates Confederation (TÜRK-İŞ), Turkish Tradesmen and Artisans Confederation (TESK), Turkey Agriculture Chambers Union (TZOB), HAK-İşçi Syndicates Confederation (HAK-İŞ), and Public Servants Syndicates Confederation (MEMUR-SEN) made a statement regarding the “Gezi Park” protests which started in Taksim, İstanbul and have spread to the country at large.

We want to invest in Tunisia’s future
Speaking at the dinner held as a part of the Turkish – Tunisian Business Forum, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, stating that Turkey and Tunisia’s bilateral trade volume is 1.1 billion USD, said, “This figure is unbefitting of our friendship and developing relations. I believe that we can do much better through joint efforts.”
