Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

The Economic Report Review Commission was convened at TOBB Twin Towers for the purpose of examining the “2017 Annual Economic Report” draft to be submitted to the TOBB 74th General Assembly.​

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan initiated work for the OIC Arbitration Center, which was proposed at the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Summit in April 2016, entrusted to the Islamic Chamber and TOBB for its establishment.​

Turkey - Macedonia Business Lunchon, hosted by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Board Member Cengiz Günay, was held in Istanbul with the participation of Macedonian President Gjorge Ivanov and Macedonian Economic Chamber President Branko Azeski.​

TOBB Board Member Yahya Toplu met wit the Ukraine Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chairman Gennadiy Chyzhykov and accompanying businessmen delegation.​

Bringing the business community’s approach to innovation under the spotlight and conducted by General Electric (GE), the GE Global Innovation Barometer Survey results were shared with opinion leaders by TOBB and General Electric at the meeting held at the TOBB Social Facilities.​

TOBB has begun preparing SMEs, which form the backbone of Turkey's economy, for the future with the 'Digital Transformation Movement' project. The project was introduced with the participation of Science, Industry and Technology Deputy Minister Hasan Ali Celik, Customs and Tourism Enterprises (GTI) Chairman Arif Parmaksız and Vodafone Turkey Executive Board Vice Chairman Meltem Bakiler Şahin.​

Turkey Cosmetics and Sanitary Products Industry Council Meeting was held with the participation of the private sector and civil society organizations under Council Chair Ahmet Pura.​

Prof. Dr. Adem Şahin, relayed TOBB President Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu’s message at the “Current Developments in Competition Law Symposium" organized by the Competition Authority 21st of which was hosted at the TOBB Economy and Technology University (TOBB ETÜ):​

Founding Rector of TOBB Economics and Technology University Professor Tahsin Kesici received an award from Ankara University, the institution where he served for 43 years prior to TOBB ETU.​

TOBB Turkey Chemical Industry Council convened under Council Chair Timur Erk at the TOBB Istanbul Service Building with the participation of members of council. During the meeting sub-sectors conveyed the current situation; it was reported that meetings are being held with large scale companies at exhibitions with the incentives on domestic suppliers. ​
