Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu presented his well-wishes to the 40 chambers/exchanges of the 10th Accreditation Term.​

Stating that the martyring of two security personnel and a citizen in a heinous attack which took place in Niğde has aggrieved the hearts of the nation, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu expressed his sadness.​

In his March 18th Martyr Remembrance and the 99th Anniversary of the Çanakkale Naval Victory statement, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “The Çanakkale saga is one of the most important events in world history; the definition of the love of independence, resolve and determination.”​

The foundation laying ceremony for the Dilucu Customs Gate, which will be modernized via the build-operate-transfer method, was held with the attendances of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, Customs and Commerce Minister Hayati Yazıcı, TOBB Board Vice President Ç. Ali Kopuz, TOBB Board Members Şahin Bilgiç, Cengiz Günay, Selçuk Öztürk, Customs and Tourism Enterprises Co. Inc. (GTİ) Board President M. Arif Parmaksız, Iğdır Governor Davut Haner, Grand Assembly representatives, bureaucrats as well as chamber and exchange presidents.​

In his statement for the March 14th Doctor’s Day, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu said that the importance put on the healthcare sector by a society and the development of the healthcare sector indicates the value of and the respect for the individual.​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu congratulated the Antalya Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ATSO) and the Ankara Chamber of Industry (ASO) 1st Organized Industry Zone on becoming the first chambers to attain authorization from the Vocational Proficiency Institution to conduct exams and issue certification.​

Expressing his grief in losing the 15 year old Berkin Elvan, who lost struggle for life after 269 days, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “Every child of this country is our child. Berkin’s loss has wounded all of our hearts. May Allah never make us experience such grief again.”​

Van Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Necdet Takva and the Board of Directors visited TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu at his office and exchanged views.​

Speaking at the “Investment in Palestinian Economy” meeting, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu provided information in regards to the Jenin Industrial Zone which will bring much needed life to the Palestinian economy and urged the business world to invest in it.​

In his press release regarding the March 8th World Women’s Day, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “It is our greatest hope that the place of women in our social life to be elevated further and their successes contribute to the prosperity of society.”​
