“We aim to increase our trade with Jordan to 2 billion USD as soon as possible"
King Abdullah II of Jordan, in Turkey on the invitation of the President of the Republic of Turkey Abdullah Gül, attended the Turkey-Jordan Economic Cooperation Meeting organized by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB). Accompanying King Abdullah during the meeting hosted by TOBB President Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu was the Minister of the Treasury, Mehmet Şimşek.

“We are ready to contribute to Turkmenistan’s development push”
Speaking at the Turkmenistan International Investment Forum, TOBB and DEİK President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that they are ready to contribute to Turkmenistan’s development push as the Turkish business world. Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “Turkey and Turkmenistan are descendants of the same stock. Turkey, without petroleum or natural gas reserves, has come to this point with only enterprising spirit. The same spirit is present in my Turkmen brothers. I can honestly say that Turkey’s success is Turkmenistan’s success; Turkmenistan’s success is Turkey’s success. Focusing in great goals and great vision is behind these great successes.”

We should be partners with Greece, not competitors, in tourism
M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, President of TOBB who delivered a speech at Turkish-Greek Business Forum stated that Turkey and Greece had a great tourism potential. “We should give an end to the competition between the two countries in tourism, and make them a joint destination. To take more share from the world tourism cake, the tourism sectors of both countries should act jointly” he said.

Hisarcıklıoğlu met with the TOBB ETU alumni
TOBB President and TOBB ETU Board of Trustees Chairman M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu met with the members of the TOBB ETU Alumni Association. Stating that TOBB ETU is a very young university and has just graduated its 5th term students, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “We must be able to produce things by ourselves. Wear the university’s pin with pride. Recognize each other during your careers. You must adopt your university. You must do it for yourselves.”

“The debt records of those writing checks will be viewable”
During his speech at the Tax Record Holders Awards Ceremony held by the Adana Chamber of Industry, Adana Chamber of Commerce and the Adana Commodity Exchange, TOBB President Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu reported that as a result of the endeavor they have undertaken with the Credit Registry Bureau (KKB), the debt records of those writing checks will be viewable with their permission.
