Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

The 10th Institutional Development Program was held with the participation of 26 Chambers and Commodity Exchanges personnel and 61 TOBB personnel at the TOBB Twin Towers on April 7th and 8th, 2017.​

Members of the TOBB Turkey Plastic, Rubber and Composite Industry Council met at the TOBB Union Center to discuss current issues affecting the sector with Council Chair Yavuz Eroğlu presiding over the meeting.​

TOBB Turkey Packaging Council visited Mustafa Öztürk, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Environment and Urban Planning, to discuss the design of “Packaging Waste Control Regulation.”​

Bülent Karakuş, a member of the TOBB Board of Directors, stated that they became aware of the importance of geographical markers late, “We need to make more progress on the registration of products with geographical markers to the European Union, the geographical marker does not just open the doors for more gains, it also means respect for product and labor.”​

TOBB Turkish Trade Fairs Council convened in Ankara under the chairmanship of Council Chair Cihat Alagöz.​

The 9th the Institutional Development Program Training was held with the participation of 24 Chambers and Stock Exchange personnel and 51 TOBB staff members between the 31st of March and the 1st of April, 2017.​

56,958 people visited the SME Information Site in March 2017. The number of visitors to the site between March 2016-February 2017 (1 year) was 550,685.​

TOBB Turkey Natural Gas Council meeting was held at TOBB. At the meeting, a presentation on energy efficiency in the sector and regulations on supply security in the EU and their reflections on Turkey were made in this context.​

TOBB Board Treasurer Faik Yavuz attended the opening of the TUSAF 13th International Congress and Exhibition organized by the Federation of Industrialists of Turkey (TUSAF) at the Belek Tourism Center in Antalya's Serik district.​

TOBB Board Vice Chairman Halim Mete participated in the 14th Statistics Council meeting held on 30 March 2017 when TOBB was hosted.​
