TOBB President and EUROCHAMBRES Vice President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu met with the European Commissioner for Regional Policy Johannes Hahn.​

German Marshall Fund (GMF) Chair Karen Donfried visited TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu. As a part of the visit, views were exchanged in regards to the Turkey – EU – US current relations as well regional issues directly effecting these relations.​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu received an honorary doctorate from Bayburt University.​

TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that there is a great potential in human resources in Bayburt and said, “Bayburt’s most important quality is its success outside its own borders. Would that all of Turkey could be like Bayburt. Our goal is to develop and to prosper. Bayburt is 65th in Turkey in terms of social progress while it is 31st in habitability.”​

TOBB’s 71st General Assembly was held with the attendances of the Prime Minister Davutoğlu, CHP Chairman Kılıçdaroğlu, MHP Vice Chairman Vural and TOBB delegates. TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that the business community wants to create a new growth epic and emphasized that they want politicians to enact new structural reforms together, posthaste.​

Prior to TOBB’s 71st General Assembly, delegates, chamber exchange presidents, youth and women entrepreneurs, foreign representatives and the TOBB Board convened at ATO Congresium for dinner.​

TOBB members who have completed their 10th, 20th, 30th and 40th years were presented with Certificates of Honor for Service. Attending the ceremony hosted by TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu was the President of the Republic of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. ​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB), on the occasion of its 71st Annual General Assembly, visited Anıtkabir to stand in the presence of Atatürk; a delegation led by TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu and comprised of the TOBB General Assembly Chair, TOBB Board, Councils, chamber and exchange presidents as well as various delegates.​
