Sakarya prospers through production
Speaking at the Stars of Sakarya Award Ceremony held by the Sakarya Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SATSO), TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu compared Sakarya and Kayseri, saying, “If 5 prayers a day is mandatory for those of us from Kayseri, Sakarya ought to have an additional 5 just to show how thankful they are for all you have.”

Leaders of the Yalova business community awarded
TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu attended the Leaders of the Business World Award Ceremony hosted by the Yalova Chamber of Commerce and Industry and said in his speech. “There will be two types of cheques in circulation. One will be the regular cheque while the other will be a QR coded cheque. QR coded cheques will allow you to view the transaction history of the person or establishment issuing the cheque, enabling you to conduct safer commerce.”

Maritime sector can save 8 billion USD with transformation in transportation
Mersin Chamber of Maritime Commerce, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that in regards to maritime freight, there is a lot of ground to cover as the maritime sector, “Especially, the 8 billion USD we annually pay overseas for freight could be conducted by us domestically. This is a great opportunity. We only carry 13% of our goods with the Turkish fleet. Starting from Central Anatolia, Mersin has a chance to become the next Marmara basin.”

Çukurova will be Turkey’s new “Marmara”
TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu visited the Mersin Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MTSO). Stating that the Marmara Region has become overcrowded, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “The sun rises from Mersin, Adana. We must think of a new Marmara Region which encompasses Çukurova, Kayseri and Konya. In order to bring this about, the first thing we need is transportation. Anatolia and Antalya requires transportation. This should be your priority. In order to become one of the capitals of tourism and industry, it is imperative to have an airport.”
