Ten additional groups opened by popular demand so all council members can attend
TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, thanking the council members who attended the seminars, approximately three thousand, and said, “It is praiseworthy that individuals would set away three days in order to find out how to be better acquainted with their community; to learn how to better develop themselves and to contribute more to their regions.”

Turkish-African Chamber approves 2015-2016 action plan
Established by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey and the Union of African Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Agriculture and Professions (UACCIAP), the Turkish-African Chamber approved its 2015-2016 Action plan at its meeting in Kampala, Uganda.

We must “learn” in order to stay on top of a changing world
Attending the Council Members Seminar held on the 24th, 25th and 26th of April, 2015, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stressed that the world is rapidly changing, “We must all learn perpetually from the cradle to the grave because life goes by so fast and the world is continually changing.”

Hisarcıklıoğlu called for start to the FTA negotiations with Australia
TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu attended the reception held in İstanbul in honor of the Prime Minister of Australia, Tony Abbot. Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that the two countries’ bilateral trade volume is well below its full potential and urged that the negotiations for the free trade agreement (FTA).

“Sovereignty and independence are our greatest inheritance”
In a message regarding the April 23rd National Sovereignty and Children’s Day, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that sovereignty and independence are our nation’s greatest inheritance, “Our gratitude for the great Atatürk and his comrades in arms who sacrificed their lives for the independence of our sacred homeland will last throughout the generations. Our children are the greatest protectors of this inheritance.”

The sectors undergo a check-up
Representatives of 60 sectors met with Prime Minister Davutoğlu and various other Ministers at the 8th Turkey Sector Economy Summit held at TOBB. TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu hosted the Summit wherein sectors underwent a check-up. Problems and proposals were clearly set forth.

The Prime Minister will meet with 60 sector councils at TOBB
Representatives of 60 sectors will meet with the Prime Minister and various Ministers at TOBB. The Sector Economy Summit hosted by Hisarcıklıoğlu will present opportunity for the representatives of sectors ranging from construction to education; banking to agriculture, to relay their problems first hand to the government.
