Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

In a message in regards to the 170th anniversary of the foundation of the Turkey Police Department, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that police are the stalwart protectors of the democratic order and said, “Acting to fulfill their duty heroically and through self-sacrifice, our police are the apple in the eye of our nation. If rules and laws are to be obeyed, police are its arteries.”​

The 8th Turkey Commerce and Industry Council was hosted by TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu at the TOBB Twin Towers and attended by Prime Minister Ahmet Davtuoğlu and relevant Ministers. Chamber and exchange presidents from 81 provinces found opportunity to relay the most important 5 issues and solution proposals to the government in person.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President and B20 Turkey Chair M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, stating that they put great importance on the G20 process as the Turkish business community, said, “B20 plays a key role in this regard. Without the contributions of the business people, G20 actions would not be as effective as planned.”​

Agreements signed during the India visit of TOBB President Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu and the delegation accompanying him aim to strengthen the economic relations between the two countries.​

The actors of trade and industry will find opportunity to relay their worries and suggestions to Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu at the 8th Turkey Commerce and Industry Council Meeting at TOBB.​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu met with the attendees of the Council Members’ Seminar which took place between the 3rd and 5th of April. Stating that the prosperity of Turkey is in the hands of the entrepreneurs, Hisarcıklıoğlu urged that council members generate ideas and projects for their cities and come together for common cause.​

Australian Ambassador James Larsen visited TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu at his office. During the meeting views were exchanged in regards to Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbot and his delegation’s itinerary for the Centennial Anzac Day Anniversary visit to Turkey, the G20-B20 processes which Turkey has taken over from Australia as well as Turkey – Australia bilateral relations. ​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu said in his message regarding the passing of the great artist Kayahan, “His songs leave us with many memories, Kayahan will be remembered in the history of music. May heaven be his abode.”​

In a statement regarding the terror act which took place at the İstanbul House of Justice, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that there can be no justification for such an attack on those sworn to uphold justice.​
