In his speech here, Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that the seminar was an important opportunity to inform the council members about the structure and activities of TOBB and made recommendations for the newly elected council members. M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu emphasized that TOBB is the institution where democracy works the most, and that the members of the council are elected, not appoined, and said, “The most difficult election is ours. For 4 years, it is the hardest job to ask for votes from your rival with whom you fight for bread.”

- “You are in a place to be useful to people”

Stating that there is no money in these jobs, TOBB President said that they sacrifice their jobs, homes and friends. Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “You are exactly where you will be useful to people. If you want to contribute to your province and district, your positions are a great opportunity. Do not forget that the best of people is the one who is beneficial to people.”

Emphasizing unity and solidarity, Hisarcıklıoğlu asked the council members not to marginalize each other and to accept differences.
