“We are deeply saddened by the passing of Mrs. Nazmiye Demirel”

Publishing a message regarding the passing of Nazmiye Demirel, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “Mrs. Nazmiye Demirel has always represented Turkey successfully with her gentlewomanly manner and loving personality. I am deeply saddened by her passing. May Allah grant her grace; I present my condolences to her husband Süleyman Demirel and her loved ones.”
Hisarcıklıoğlu said in his message:
“The passing of the wife of the 9th President of the Republic Süleyman Demirel, Nazmiye Demirel has deeply saddened us all.
The dear lady, who always portrayed the Anatolian woman admirably, had won the hearts of the people and had always been treated with great respect.
Her staunch support throughout her husband’s difficult political career has been an example of unity, solidarity and family for young generations.
On behalf of the Turkish business world, I pray for the grace of Allah upon her and present my deepest condolences to the former President of the Republic Süleyman Demirel, their relatives and our nation.”
