“Defined by the United Nations and celebrated worldwide, March 8th World Women’s Day is the symbol of a love which should not be forgotten 365 days of the year. Viewed on the basis of human rights, the share of women in political and social life is the responsibility of us all.

‘Raising a child with the necessary properties requires that many personal qualities are present in an individual. For this reason, our women must by necessity be more enlightened, prosperous and informed than men,’ said the great leader Atatürk and it is difficult to disagree. As members of a culture which values women and children as the most precious creatures, we must always strive to make them feel and experience it.

Our women who shoulder the sacred duty of motherhood are the real directors of the home; let none assume that they will be only the second plan in business life.

On behalf of the business world, just as I say in every platform I participate in, we must increase the number of women entrepreneurs to match that of men. It is the wish of all of us to see them in managerial and entrepreneurial roles. The truth of it is that this is the only way to development, prosperity and justice.

It is with these thoughts and sentiments that I celebrate the March 8th World Women’s Day and offer my respect and love. May all the flowers in the world be a gift unto them.”
