“Süleyman Demirel has left indelible marks on Turkish politics”

In his press release regarding the passing of the 9th President of the Republic of Turkey, Süleyman Demirel, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu expressed his sorrow for the loss of an experienced politician who served many years as Minister, Prime Minister and President of the Republic, “A symbol of the political world. May Allah’s grace be upon all who served this country and its people. May the grace of Allah be upon him.”
Hisarcıklıoğlu said:
“We have learned to our great sorrow of the passing of a valuable statesman, the 9th President of the Republic of Turkey, Süleyman Demirel. Demirel entered politics in his youth and served as Minister as well as over a decade as Prime Minister and lastly as the President of the Republic, leaving an indelible mark on Turkish politics.
On behalf of the Turkish business community, I pray for the grace of Allah upon the late Mr. Demirel and extend our condolences to his family, loved ones and our nation.”
