Visiting the Mersin Commodity Exchange, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that Anatolia is the birth place of the stock exchange and that they will not be satisfied with what has been achieved, but instead, aim higher and better.​

As a part of his Mersin visit, TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu attended a business lunch on the invitation of Mersin Commodity Exchange Chairman Ömer Abdullah Özdemir as well as the consultation meeting. Hisarcıklıoğlu said that Mersin TB is one of Turkey’s proudest institutions, stating that he views Chairman Abdullah’s vision with admiration.

 

Pointing out the increasing global importance of agriculture and livestock husbandry, Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that these sectors are quite profitable and that they need to be integrated into industry to properly bring in profit. He went on to report that Mersin and its environs are home to a myriad of very important agricultural products.

 

- Importance of common cause

 

Emphasizing unity and solidarity, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that everyone needs to think differently but come together around a common cause. He urged the residents to all make the same demands of the politicians who come asking for votes.

 

Hisarcıklıoğlu stressed the importance of export insurance via Eximbank, especially in regards to risky target regions stating that taking insurance for domestic commerce would also benefit businesses.

 

Mersin Commodity Exchange Chairman Ömer Abdullah Özdemir praised Hisarcıklıoğlu for his works; pointing out the importance of the roadmap his vision has given all chambers and exchanges. Özdemir went on to provide a briefing on their endeavors.

 

- UMAT Plaza visit

 

Hisarcıklıoğlu also visited UMAT Plaza along with the UMAT Inc Board Chair Hüsnü Ünal and others accompanying him, conversing with those working there.
