Şadan Kalkavan has passed away

TOBB Council of Maritime Commerce Chambers Member, businessman and former Fenerbahçe administrator, Şadan Kalkavan has passed away. TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that Kalkavan’s passing is a great loss for both the business and the sports community, “We have lost an important elder who left behind important services rendered.”
Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that Şadan Kalkavan, in addition to being a valued businessman, was also a well-liked administrator in the sports world as well as having contributed important works to the TOBB community.
Hisarcıklıoğlu said, in his press release in regards to the passing of Kalkavan, “Mr. Şadan Kalkavan was a person much loved by us all. The business world will not forget his name. I pray for the grace of Allah upon him and extend our condolences to his family and loved ones as well as to the business and sports communities. May heaven be his abode.”

Born in Rize in 1939, Şadan Kalkavan served as a Member of TOBB Council of Maritime Commerce Chambers, President as well as many other roles in the Fenerbahçe Sports Club. Having been under treatment for some time, Kalkavan passed away at the age of 76.
