As peace is strengthened, hope grows in the east and southeast

Presidents of the Eastern and Southeastern Anatolian Chambers and Exchanges convened hosted by TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu to meet with Prime Minister Deputy Yalçın Akdoğan in Ankara.​
TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated in his speech that despite the events of the last autumn the chamber and exchange presidents of the Eastern and Southeastern Anatolian provinces have acted with prudence, preventing hate from taking hold among the people.

Underscoring the fact that, as peace is strengthened, investments, employment and exports are spoken of more and more, Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that hopes and dreams grow in Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia.

Stating that peace and trade are inseparable, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “We should know that the region’s stability is tied to Turkey’s strength, prosperity and stability. It is the duty of us all to keep  Turkey’s unity and solidarity well away from conflict.”

Prime Minister Deputy Yalçın Akdoğan said in regards to the resolution process, “Newroz will be an important milestone to this end. We will burn conflict, violence and weapons in the fires of democracy and skip over it together.”

Akdoğan addressed the Chamber and Exchange Presidents of the Eastern Anatolia Region at the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey.

Akdoğan stated that chamber presidents, coming from the real sector are very well aware of the importance of economic stability. Akdoğan stated that there can be no growth, economic development or democratic progress without security and peace, pointing out the importance of the resolution process to this end.

The Prime Minister Deputy stressed the need to bring this issue which has claimed the lives of 44,000 people to an end and stated that everyone has a role to play to bring this about.

Stating that, “Resolution is a process with no losers,” Yalçın Akdoğan stated that Turk and Kurd brotherhood has lasted for millennia but the recent issues are unable to reach a solution without a revolution of the mind.

Reporting that 166 billion TRY worth of investment has flowed into the region, Akdoğan stated that they are approaching the problem from many angles, to bring resolution to the issues affecting the Eastern and Southeastern Anaotlian regions in good faith and honesty.
