Hisarcıklıoğlu and the business community will attend Davos

Lead by M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, the prominent names in the Turkish business world comprising B20 are preparing to make an impact at Davos.​

Each year, the captains of the global economy – politicians and businessmen are brought together by the World Economic Forum at their annual Davos meetings. B20 Turkey and TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu, along with prominent business people of Turkey, will represent Turkey at Davos.

 

The Turkish delegation which will attend Davos is comprised of the Turkish business world’s prominent names. TOBB and B20 President Hisarcıklıoğlu and the B20 Turkey Task Force Chairs Güler Sabancı, Ferit Şahenk, Hüsnü Özyeğin and Ali Koç will address those directing the global economy in regards to Turkey’s B20 Term Chairmanship.

 

- Hosting two large organizations

 

B20 Turkey and TOBB will host two large organizations at Davos. The first is the “Development of the G20 Agenda” session organized by the B20 and the World Economic Forum on the 22nd of January. The opening speech of the session will be given by Prime Minister Deputy Ali Babacan. Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu will conduct the closing speech.

 

B20 Task Force Chairs will convene with Coca Cola CEO Muhtar Kent, OECD Secretary General Angel Gurria Gurria and high level representatives of the global business community.

 

On January 23rd, TOBB will host CEO and representatives of international organizations at a reception in honor of Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu. At the reception, over 150 global actors will have opportunity to be closely acquainted with the efforts of B20 Turkey.

 

- Big role for Coca Cola CEO Muhtar Kent

 

B20 Turkey will create a new structure not seen in previous terms.

 

With the participation of the most influential and powerful businessmen of G20 countries, the “International Business Community Consultation Council” has been formed. Heading the Council will be Coca Cola CEO Muhtar Kent.

 

The council will convey the suggestions of the B20 Task Forces to their governments firsthand and work to have them implemented.
