In Muğla for the opening of the Muğla TSO service building, TOBB President Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu visited the Muğla Commerce Exchange, Milas Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Bodrum Chamber of Commerce after the opening.

TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu stated in his visit to the Bodrum Chamber of Commerce that TOBB, established in 1952 and celebrating its 60th anniversary, has achieved extraordinary success recently with its chambers and has undergone significant change.

Stating that they have achieved great success in Turkey, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “If you were to compare the TOBB of today with its 365 chambers and exchanges to the one I was elected as the president you would see huge differences. When I was first elected only 5 chambers among 365 in Turkey spoke English. Today, the ones that don’t are just 10. None of them could take on projects then. Today, our chambers have taken on 400 grant projects.”

Touching on the subject of tourism, Hisarcıklıoğlu made the following assessments, “We have the highest quality hotels and facilities among Italy, Spain, France and the Mediterranean. They’re calling the hotels we consider 5-star as 7-star. Theirs are worse than ours and the quality of service is horrid. If you order something to eat and try to change the order 5 minutes afterwards it will be impossible. How would ours do it? They’d change the order and keep up a smile.”

TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu presented a pen set shaped to resemble the Twin Towers while the Bodrum Chamber of Commerce President Mahmut Kocadon gifted with a “Bodrum sandal.”
