Mr. Mustafa KUMLU, President of TURK-İS is elected as Co-Chair of the Turkish side for Turkey-EU Joint Consultative Committee (JCC)

Mr. Salim USLU was elected as the Co-chair of TR-EU JCC on 1 March 2011. However, Mr. Uslu has resigned his presidency from HAK-İS Confederation, thereby resigned from his assignment in the JCC as well, because, he stands as a candidate for the coming general elections.    ​ ​

Undersecretariat of Public Order and Security in its new service building…

The new service building of Undersecretariat of Public Order and Security came into service with a ceremony. The opening ceremony, with the participation of Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Minister of Interior Beşir Atalay and moreover TOBB Member of Board M. Arif Parmaksız and TOBB Secretary General Mustafa Saraçöz, held after the rearrangement of the former TOBB central office building.​ ​

TOBB is at the CeBIT Fair

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) took place at CeBIT 2011 in Hannover Fair. 92 Turkish companies, promoted their products and services on 600 thousand square meters. ​ ​

Mr. Salim Uslu, President of HAK-İŞ is elected as Co-Chair of the Turkish side for Turkey-EU Joint Consultative Committee (JCC).

Meeting was held on 1 March 2011 at TOBB Headquarters in Ankara with participation of President of TOBB M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoglu, President of HAK-İŞ  Salim Uslu, President of TİSK Tugrul Kudatgobilik, President of TÜRK-İŞ Mustafa Kumlu, President of TESK Bendevi Palandöken, President of KAMUSEN Bircan Akyıldız and Deputy Secretary Generel of TZOB Selahattin Mermer. President of HAK-İŞ Mr. Salim Uslu is elected as the new Co-chair of Turkish side of the Committee for the years 2011 – 2013. ​ ​

Turkey Small and Medium Scale Building Contractor Assembly demand registration for subcontractor

At the meeting of Turkey Small and Medium Scale Building Contractor Assembly, members discussed the subcontract work, tax for employment, payment for building canals and control/inspection of building construction. The president of Assembly, Bekir Adıyaman, expressed that the in some line of businesses such as  for ironmaker, tiler, etc. building contractor faced with documentation problems and to solve this problem thay have to be registrated and the subcontract work has to be certificated.​ ​

Turkish Education Assembly reunited in TOBB Economics and Technology University. At the meeting apart from assembly members where senior representatives of public office, private sector and non-governmental organizations showed great interest, sectoral problems were addressed. ​ ​

The invitation for Turkish businessmen to invest in Afghanistan

Afghanistan Minister of Mines, Vahidullah Şehrani was the guest of TOBB. Guest Minister, who made a presentation on investment opportunities in Afghanistan to the cement, mining and construction sector representatives, pointing to the possibilities and capabilities of Turkish companies, has invited Turkish contractors to tenders in Afghanistan.​ ​

The Coordination Council for the Improvement of the Investment Environment (YOİKK) Steering Meeting, headed by Undersecretary of Treasury İbrahim Halil Çanakçı realized at TOBB to discuss 2011-2012 action plan proposals. ​ ​
