AWARENESS RAISING ON REACH AND CLP REGULATIONS FOR TURKISH
CHEMICAL INDUSTRY AND BUILDING UP REGIONAL CONTACT POINTS

TOBB, Export Promotion Centre of Turkey (IGEME), Center for Small and Medium Sized Enterprises Development Organisation (KOSGEB), İstanbul Mineral and Metals Exporters’ Associations (İMMİB) and Turkish Chemical Manufacturers Association (TKSD) are stakeholders in the project called “Awareness Raising on REACH and CLP Regulations for Turkish Chemical Industry and Building Up Regional Contact Points”. Undersecretariat of the Prime Ministry for Foreign Trade (DTM) and Ministry of Environment and Forestry (ÇOB) are the counterparts of the project which started in January 2010 and will be completed in March 2011.

Within the framework of the project, 7 contact points were established in our chambers listed below:

1. İstanbul Chamber of Industry

2. Kocaeli Chamber of Industry

3. Aegean Region Chamber of Industry

4. Ankara Chamber of Industry

5. Konya Chamber of Industry

6. Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry

7. Mersin Chamber of Commerce and Industry

The employee assigned as a contact point in the chambers will help industry for the implementation of regulations and answer the questions those would arise from the industry after completing the trainings indicated.
