In his press release regarding the explosion which occurred at the Pınarbaşı Police Department in Kayseri which resulted in the martyring of one police officer and the wounding of sixteen people, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that they condemn any and all attacks on the lives of our security forces and innocent people and went on, “It is impossible for those who expect solutions or a future from violence to have any connection to human values.”​ ​

Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, speaking at the “Social Security Reform, Goals, Social Insurance and Incentive Applications” meeting held by the İstanbul Independent Accountant and Financial Advisors Chamber (İSMMMO), stated that after the 2001 crisis the most talked about institution in Turkey was the Social Security Institution (SGK) and said, “Today, SGK is steadily rising thanks to the significant reforms it has enacted.”​ ​
