We must protect entrepreneurs just like Messi and Ronaldo are protected

Speaking at the Balıkesir Chamber of Industry Award Ceremony, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “Just as FIFA requests that players of high technique, star players like Messi and Ronaldo be protected, so must we protect and nurture our entrepreneurs.” Stating that such players bring in spectators and so must be protected, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “We are the ones who enrich and develop this country as well as providing employment. The people who will provide jobs for our children are entrepreneurs. That is why we must protect and nurture; so we can become one of the top 10 economies of the world.”​ ​

Hisarcıklıoğlu requested from the EU that the membership process be sped up

Speaking at the Turkey-EU Joint Consultation Committee (KİK) meeting, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that Turkey joining the EU is as important as the formation of the EU and requested that the membership process be sped up. Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “Turkey gaining momentum in its reforms is connected to the revitalization of the EU membership negotiations.”​ ​

Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, stating that the loss of the master theatre actor Leman Çıdamlı and the famous Turkish Folk Music singer Kamil Sönmez have deeply saddened Turkey and said, “Leman Çıdamlı had dedicated his life to the theatre and cinema; Kamil sönmez to Turkish Folk Music. We will always remember them with love and respect. Their names have been indelibly written in our hearts.”​ ​
