“I wish prosperity, health and happiness for all laborers”

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, in his celebratory message for May 1st Labor and Solidarity Day, said, “As members of a civilization which recognizes the sanctity of labor, the sweat of the brow and the just distribution of wealth, recognizing these to be fundamental, I wish prosperity, health and happiness for all laborers.”​

Signatures given for increasing trade with Tartary

President of the Republic of Tartary Rustam Minnihanov visited TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu. Four important cooperation agreements were signed. The Business Council to be established will prepare its action plan for speeding up economic and financial activities within three months. Minnihanov expressed their desire to increase cooperation, inviting Turkish companies to use Tartary as a staging area for doing business in the Russian market. He invited Turkish companies to invest.​

Ten additional groups opened by popular demand so all council members can attend

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, thanking the council members who attended the seminars, approximately three thousand, and said, “It is praiseworthy that individuals would set away three days in order to find out how to be better acquainted with their community; to learn how to better develop themselves and to contribute more to their regions.”​

Business committee agreement signed with Sudan and Guinea business communities

During Islamic Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture’s (ICCIA) 31st General Assembly Meeting in Kampala, Uganda, TOBB, Sudanese Businessmen and Employers Federation (SBEF) and the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Artisans of Guinea (CCIAG) signed an agreement for a business committee.​

Hisarcıklıoğlu invited Ugandan Prime Minister Rugunda to Turkey

In Uganda for the Islamic Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture’s (ICCIA) meetings, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu and the delegation accompanying him visited Ugandan Prime Minister Rugunda.​

Turkish-African Chamber approves 2015-2016 action plan

Established by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey and the Union of African Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Agriculture and Professions (UACCIAP), the Turkish-African Chamber approved its 2015-2016 Action plan at its meeting in Kampala, Uganda. ​

We must “learn” in order to stay on top of a changing world

Attending the Council Members Seminar held on the 24th, 25th and 26th of April, 2015, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stressed that the world is rapidly changing, “We must all learn perpetually from the cradle to the grave because life goes by so fast and the world is continually changing.”​

Hisarcıklıoğlu called for start to the FTA negotiations with Australia

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu attended the reception held in İstanbul in honor of the Prime Minister of Australia, Tony Abbot. Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that the two countries’ bilateral trade volume is well below its full potential and urged that the negotiations for the free trade agreement (FTA).​

“Sovereignty and independence are our greatest inheritance”

In a message regarding the April 23rd National Sovereignty and Children’s Day, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that sovereignty and independence are our nation’s greatest inheritance, “Our gratitude for the great Atatürk and his comrades in arms who sacrificed their lives for the independence of our sacred homeland will last throughout the generations. Our children are the greatest protectors of this inheritance.”​
