Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu and members of the Board of Directors visited the Mustafakemalpaşa and Karacabey Chambers of Commerce and Industry and the Commodity Exchanges.​

Meeting with Bursa Commodity Exchange (BTB) Members at the Bursa Meat and Fish Institute Facilities in Bursa, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu drew attention to the importance of commodity exchanges for Turkey’s economy.​

Attending the consultation meeting hosted by the Bursa TSO, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that businessmen should use “debt insurance” in order to minimize risk.​

Orhangazi TSO celebrated its 30th anniversary at the “Stars of the Economy” awards ceremony attended by Hisarcıklıoğlu. At the awards ceremony held in Orhangazi, Bursa, the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “We must increase our entrepreneurs so that our country may prosper.”​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu attended the “Contributors to the Economy” awards ceremony organized by the İznik Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TSO); he also visited the Yenişehir TSO, Municipality and Commodity Exchange.​

Beginning his Bursa visit with visits to the Gemlik Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GTSO) and Gemlik Commodity Exchange, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “Gemlik with its 5 ports, four of them large, is one of Turkey’s most important port centers. Of course, a railway connection is a must-have for such a great gathering of ports. It is unlikely that a port can function to its fullest without a railway connection.” Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that the railway project has been added to his program and said, “Gemlik’s shared goal should be to complete this posthaste.”​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that the period of no elections for 4 years following the elections would be a great opportunity for Turkey and said, “Structural reforms must be implemented with all haste following elections.”​

Speaking at the Turkey opening meeting of the T20 (Think 20), TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that as the business world, they want faster growth and lower credit interest rates.​

Speaking at the “G20 Agenda Under the Turkish Presidency” Seminar held by the International Institute of Finance, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that they put great importance on the G20 in these interesting times with many global problems on the agenda, he stressed that these would require global coordination in order to solve.​

In his message regarding the passing of the musician Müzeyyen Senar, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that Senar has taken her place among the unforgettables with her artist personality and contributions to Turkish music, he went on to present his condolences on behalf of the Turkish business community.”​
