Speaking at the Turkey-Kyrgyzstan Commerce and Investment Forum, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “The historical Silk Road presents important opportunities for Kyrgyzstan’s region. Kyrgyzstan’s placement on the route to China is an extraordinary opportunity.”​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated in his condolatory message regarding Koç Holding Board Chair Mustafa Vehbi Koç, stated that the Turkish business community has lost one of its most important figures and that they are deeply saddened by Koç’s death.​

As a part of its restructuring, a delegation from the Serbian Chamber of Commerce and Industry comprised of its presidential advisor and directors visited TOBB between the 18th and 22nd of January.​

In the joint declaration by TZOB, TESK, TÜRK-İŞ, HAK-İŞ, MEMUR-SEN, KAMU-SEN, TİSK and TOBB, it was stated that, “It is of the utmost importance that academics utilize a unifying language in expressing the thoughts of all social groups.” The full text of the declaration is as follows:​

Speaking at the 7th Energy Efficiency Forum and Expo, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that we are on the verge of a new industrial revolution which will change the process of business and production permanently. Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that energy efficiency in regards to electricity could double profits.​

The President of the Republic of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan received the representatives of the member institutions of Turkey – EU Joint Consultative Committee, including TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu.​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu met with Eskişehir Parliamentary Representative Harun Karacan, Niğde Parliamentary Representative Erdoğan Özegen, Diyarbakır Parliamentary Representatives Galip Ensarioğlu and Ebubekir Bal, Gaziantep Parliamentary Representative Nejat Koçer, Konya Parliamentary Representative Muhammet Uğur Kaleli, Tekirdağ Parliamentary Representative Metin Akgün and Kırıkkale Parliamentary Representative Abdullah Öztürk for lunch. ​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, in his press release regarding the explosion which took place in Sultanahmet Square in İstanbul, stated that the Turkish business community vehemently condemns the attack and extended his condolences for those who lost their lives, wishing the survivors a speedy recovery.​

Turkish Enterprise and Business Community Confederation (TÜRKONFED) Chairman Tarkan Kadooğlu and the Board of Directors visited TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu. Assessments regarding the economy and the business world were made during the meeting. ​

Council Members of the Bolu Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Gerede Chamber of Commerce and Industry visited TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu. Exchanging views during the meeting, the delegation members provided Hisarcıklıoğlu with information regarding their regions.​
