Casting Industry Council convened online

The Casting Industry Council was conducted by video conference, chaired by Council President Niyazi Akdaş with the participation of Salih Zeki Murzioğlu, TOBB Board of Directors Vice President, to make "sectoral assessments on the normalization process after the Covid-19 pandemic" and the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic on the casting industry sector.​

Medical Council convened

TOBB Turkish Medical Council convened under Council President Mete Özgürbüz with TOBB Board Member Özturk Oran's participation, via video conference. At the meeting, the effects of DMO public procurement and public receivables and new regulations to the sector were assessed. ​

Problems in the implementation of mining law evaluated at the expanded meeting of the mining sector

The expanded meeting of the Turkish Mining Council was held electronically to discuss the latest developments in the sector with the participation of public, non-governmental organizations and private sector representatives under the chairmanship of TOBB Board Member Şaban Aziz Karamehmetoğlu and Council President Halil Ibrahim Kırşan.​

Pharmaceutical Industry Council assesses Covid-19

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Pharmaceutical Industry Council met via video conference to address the problems of the sector with the participation of TOBB Board Member Öztürk Oran and Deputy Council President Ömer Yıldız. At the meeting, sectoral assessments were made regarding the effects of Covid-19 pandemic and the normalization process. ​

TÜRİB-TÜRKŞEKER cooperation in contract agriculture

Turkish Product Specialized Exchange (TÜRİB) and Turkish Sugar Factories Inc. (TÜRKŞEKER) have signed a cooperation agreement to store contracted agricultural products in licensed warehouses and to be converted into Electronic Product Bonds (ELÜS).​

The number of newly established Companies increased by 22,22% in May 2020 with respect to previous month.

The number of newly established companies and the number of sole proprietorships increased by 22,22% , 76,35% while the number of cooperatives decreased by 36,92% according to the previous month. The number of closed companies increased by 23,32% while the number of closed cooperatives and the number of closed sole proprietorships decreased by 63,64% and 18,22% according to the previous month.​

Turkey Tourism Council Members conveyed their experience to Islamic countries

Within the scope of the training on “Promoting Entrepreneurship to Increase Tourism Sector Competitiveness” organized by the Statistical, Economic and Social Research and Training Centre for Islamic Countries (SESRIC), the video conference, which was conducted with the participation of 60 members at the international level, TOBB Turkey Tourism Council Members Erkan Yağcı and Cem Kınay conveyed their experiences in the sector.​

Food Industry and Beverage Industry Councils discussed post-Covid-19 strategies

Turkey Food Industry and Turkey Beverage Industry Council met via video conferencing to discuss the sectoral effects of the Covid-19 pandemic, which has affected the whole world, and strategies on this issue. TOBB Board Members Cengiz Günay and Özer Matlı attended the meeting, giving opening speeches.​

Information Webinar for Entrepreneurs was held with the participation of Ali Sertaç Canal, Director of Halk Insurance Commercial Credit Insurance. Canal gave a wide-ranging presentation on state-sponsored commercial credit insurance for SMEs.​
