Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

The Union of Chambers and Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Arbitration Council met via video conference under Adil Sani Konukoğlu. The issues on the agenda of the Council were evaluated at the meeting. The information regarding the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic on arbitration cases were relayed by the Legal Counsel. ​

The number of newly established companies , the number of cooperatives and the number of sole proprietorships decreased by 66,01% , 56,38% and 67,46% respectively according to the previous month. The number of closed companies and cooperatives decreased by 45,48% and 81,03% while the number of closed sole proprietorships increased by 15,09% according to the previous month.​

The Meeting held by the Ministry of Health to provide information regarding the Life Fits Home (HES - Hayat Eve Sığar) Code. The meeting was attended by Deputy General Manager of Health Information Systems Şahin Aydın, Head of The Department of Certification of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure Mehmet Kerim Cicioğlu, Ministerial Managers, TOBB Sectors and Entrepreneurship Department President Saygın Baban, TOBB Turkey Highway Passenger Transport Council President Chairman Mustafa Yıldırım and industry representatives. ​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Turkish Highway Passenger Transport Council convened via video conference, chaired by TOBB Vice Chairman Tamer Kıran and Council President Mustafa Yıldırım.​

TOBB Turkey Forest Products Council convened via video conference to discuss the issues on the agenda of the sector and to elect the Presidential Council.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Fairs Committee convened via video conference under the chairmanship of TOBB Board of Directors Vice President Salih Zeki Murzioğlu. ​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey Tax Advisory Council convened under the Council President Fatih Dural with the participation of TOBB Council Member Zeki Kıvanç on May 20, 2020 via video conference. ​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Turkey Mining Council's Presidential Council Election Meeting was held via video conference under the chairmanship of TOBB Board Member Şaban Aziz Karamehmetoğlu. At the meeting, which was held with the participation of senior representatives of public institutions, private sector and non-governmental organizations, Çiftay Construction Energy Contracting Trade Inc.Mining Affairs Group Chairman İbrahim Halil Kırşan was unanimously elected Council President while Demir Export General Manager Ramazan Yön was elected Vice President. ​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Turkey Leather and Leather Products Industry Council convened under the chairmanship of TOBB Board Member Zeki Kıvanç to elect its Council President. Economic measures against Covid-19 pandemic, association of these measures with the leather sector and the impact of Covid-19 pandemic on the sector were also discussed. ​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Vice President and Chairman of the Economic Development Foundation (İKV) Ayhan Zeytinoğlu, the Representative of Turkey for the EU Ambassador Mehmet Kemal Bozay, and Turkey NATO Representative Ambassador Basat Öztürk attended the “EU and NATO Post-Epidemic Foreign Policy” meeting. ​
